In the spring of 2008 my family and I were fortunate enough to have the ability to relocate to Austin, TX where my parents had ultimately settled in retirement.
Roughly one month after arriving, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and was given a short amount of time to live. She fought and battled on a daily basis. She survived to celebrate a Caribbean cruise in January of 2009 with her friends, one final holiday season with her family, and her 50th wedding anniversary with my dad in December of 2009,
In May of 2010, she peacefully passed away in her sleep.
This website has been created in her loving memory and the memory of all those who have passed away and whose lives we will celebrate forever.
Finding ways to remember and hold onto the happy memories we had with our passed loved ones are an important part of living after a loss. Memories are meant to bring you and those close to you peace, to help remember the good times together, to find joy in the experiences and celebrate their life.
This site has been developed as a clean and welcoming space to share and preserve your memories. I encourage you to celebrate the lives of loved ones through photos, videos and written memories.
In loving memory of Betsy Buell Hitt
